Dental & orthodontic practices

Dental scheduling that respects hygiene blocks and operatory capacity.

Schedule hygienists, assistants, front desk, and admin as distinct roles. Track RDH and X-ray certifications before they lapse. Keep PHI out of group texts. Built for 1–10 chair private practices.

What dental operators are tired of

The hygiene schedule lives in Dentrix. The staff schedule lives in a spreadsheet. They never agree.
RDH licenses expire without warning. A scheduled hygiene block becomes a billing problem retroactively.
X-ray cert lapses go unnoticed until the state inspector asks for the file.
Hygienists juggle multiple practices. Their availability changes weekly; you find out Sunday at 9pm.
Time-off requests pile up in someone's inbox, then somebody books the day off they "approved" verbally.
PHI ends up in group texts. Front desk coordinates patient blocks over channels you can't audit.

Built around how dental offices actually run

The features that matter for small private practices — separate from generic SMB scheduling.

🦷

Hygiene / assistant / admin role split

Schedule hygienists, dental assistants, EFDAs, front desk, and back office as separate position types. Color-coded so you spot understaffed hygiene blocks in seconds.

📜

License + certification tracking

Each staff profile carries RDH, EFDA, X-ray, BLS, and OSHA cert dates. Email reminders at 90/30/7 days. Expired credentials can block scheduling for that role automatically.

🔐

HIPAA-aware document storage

Onboarding docs and credentialing files live in Supabase Storage with row-level security. Encrypted at rest, access-logged, masked SSN display. (Not BAA-covered yet — Q3 2026.)

📍

Multi-practice clock-in with auto-routing

Float hygienists who cover multiple practices auto-route to the closest operatory geofence. Photo capture at punch for tamper-proof audits.

Pre-publish overtime predictor

Warning before publish when a clinician is on track to cross 40 hours that week. Fix it before the schedule goes out, not after payroll.

QuickBooks + Gusto exports

Dental operator FAQ

The questions we get from private practices and small DSO operators.

Is PeopleBridge HIPAA-compliant?
We are HIPAA-aware in our architecture (row-level security, encryption at rest, audit logging, masked PHI display) but we do not currently sign BAAs. We don't ingest patient data — only employee data. Patient PHI stays in your practice management system. Formal BAA availability is on the Q3 2026 roadmap.
Can I track RDH and X-ray cert expirations?
Yes. Each profile has license/cert fields with expiration dates. We email the employee, the manager, and the owner at 90, 30, and 7 days. Expired credentials can optionally block scheduling for that role.
Does it replace Dentrix or Open Dental?
No. PeopleBridge is workforce-only: who's on which shift, who clocked in where, who got paid for what. Patient scheduling, charting, billing, and insurance stay in your practice management system. We sit alongside, not in competition.
How do you handle hygienists who work at multiple practices?
Assign the employee to multiple locations. When they clock in, GPS auto-routes them to the closest practice geofence. Manager-only override exists if GPS gets confused. Each punch is tagged with its actual location for cost-center allocation.
Do you handle different pay rates for hygienists vs. assistants?
Yes. Each profile has its own hourly rate (or salaried flag). Labor cost reports break out by role, so you see hygienist hours vs. assistant hours vs. front-desk hours separately.
Can I trial it with one practice?
Yes — your first month is free for 1 practice and up to 10 employees, no credit card. Every feature and all AI are included from day one. After the first month it's $1 per active employee/mo + $10 per location/mo.
