Do volunteers need to fill out W-4 and I-9?
No. When you mark someone as a volunteer (not employee), the onboarding flow skips W-4, I-9, and direct deposit. Instead, they sign your child safety policy, code of conduct, and any other custom consent forms you upload.
How does background check tracking work?
Each profile has a "background check completed" date and expiration. Today you upload completed checks manually (PDF or scan). A direct integration with a background check provider is on the roadmap.
Can volunteers self-schedule?
Yes. You publish open slots; eligible volunteers claim them from their phone. Manager approval is optional. Push notifications when a slot is taken.
What does it cost for a 200-attendee church?
Your first month is free for one location and up to 10 volunteer leaders. After that it's one plan with everything included: $1 per active volunteer/mo + $10 per location/mo. A 3-location church with 30 active volunteers runs about $30 + $30 = $60/mo — way under the cost of dedicated church management software like Planning Center for the workforce piece.
Do you integrate with Planning Center or Breeze?
Not directly today. Most churches use PeopleBridge alongside their ChMS, not as a replacement. PC handles giving and discipleship; we handle the workforce side (schedule, time clock if paid staff, volunteer hours).
Can the worship leader see only worship team?
Yes. Manager scoping — a worship leader is a "manager" of the worship-ministry location. They see their team's schedule, their hours, their consents. They don't see kids ministry or the senior pastor's schedule.
