The honest takeaway

Pick PeopleBridge if…

  • You run a restaurant on Toast and need real tip pool math
  • You're running 2+ locations and Homebase Plus pricing hurts
  • You want every feature and all AI included — no upsells
  • You're comfortable with a PWA (no App Store needed)
  • You need a CPA-ready monthly sales tax export

Pick Homebase if…

  • Native iOS / Android app presence is non-negotiable
  • You need an ongoing free tier for 11–20 employees
  • You don't need POS integration depth
  • Your team already uses Homebase and switching cost > price savings

Common questions

Is PeopleBridge really cheaper than Homebase for a 3-location restaurant?
Yes. PeopleBridge is one simple plan: $1 per active employee/mo + $10 per location/mo, with every feature and all AI included. For 3 locations with 30 employees that's $30 + $30 = $60/mo. Homebase Plus is roughly $100/mo per location for similar features (GPS, kiosk photo capture, multi-location reporting), so 3 locations land around $300/mo. The gap widens at 5+ locations.
What does Homebase do better than PeopleBridge today?
Two real things: (1) native iOS and Android apps in the App Store, which we don't have — we're a PWA that installs to home screen instead. (2) Their free tier supports up to 20 employees vs. our first-month-free period for up to 10. If those matter more than the price/integration depth, Homebase is the right call.
How hard is it to migrate from Homebase?
Export your employee roster from Homebase as CSV. Upload it via Settings → People → Import. Names, emails, phones, hourly rates, and location assignments all come over in one shot. Schedules themselves are typically rebuilt — you'll be doing that anyway when you switch.
Do I lose anything by going PWA-only instead of a native app?
On modern iOS (16.4+) and Android: practically nothing. You install once from Safari/Chrome and it lives on the home screen with push notifications, offline cache, and full-screen UI. The only thing you can't do is publish to the App Store under your own brand.
Can I trial both side-by-side?
Yes. Both have free tiers. Run a week of schedules in each, hand the time clock to your team, and decide. We're happy to walk you through anything specific — book a demo.
